Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY (September 27, 2010):

Outside my window...it's a crisp and sunny fall day. The colors are absolutely beautiful. Fall is in full swing.

I am thinking...about chocolate. Good chocolate. Maybe Ghiradelli hot chocolate. Back in a moment.

I am thankful for...my daughters, the curly-headed girl and the straight-haired girl. (This was in no way prompted by whisperings from one or the other of the aforementioned children. NOT!)

From the learning rooms...the girls have made their "own" blogs. I'm sneaking in writing lessons and they are totally thrilled. Hee, hee.

From the kitchen...yogurt pancakes with real maple syrup.

I am wearing...a Crossings t-shirt.

I am creating...curtains for the dining room, and I must say I love, love, love them.

I am going...to go see the Redhead Express this evening. Yeeeee-haw!

I am reading...The Mysterious Benedict Society. Just for fun.

I am hoping...this weather holds into next week. I want to be outside enjoying it.

I am hearing...an eclectic mix of my favorite songs interrupted by the frequent operation of the sump pump: Very thankful it's working!

Around the house...we have our extra kids this week. Lots of school work, lots of laughter. I love those boys. They bring a streak of blue into our very pink house.

One of my favorite things...is time to really think.

A few plans for the rest of the week: a trip to the Northshore with the girls. I am beside myself with anticipation.

Here is picture I am sharing...

I'm taking part in The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. Now I'm thinking about chocolate! I thought I had wrestled that thought into submission earlier today~ now it's out again & wreaking havok on my appetite. I enjoyed your Daybook.
