Sketchbook Delight

I am sketching on a daily basis for the first time since High School! Just don't ask me how long it has been, because I will not be forthcoming with that information...but I digress.

These are two very quick sketches I tossed off when the girls were babies. I'm glad I have even these two, because I was way too busy being mommy to stop and draw much. In retrospect, that's a good thing. It's important to me that I invested in their lives rather than my own sketching ability at that stage. As my mother was fond of telling me when I was bemoaning my lack of stimulation, "This, too, shall pass."
