I'd like to be looking up at this right about now. But...since that's out of the question, I'd like to be eating this:

The Family Kitchen, by Debra Ponzek is one of our favorite cookbooks to use together. There are yummy photos and the recipes do not disappoint. Here's one of our favorite, for Chocolate-Cocoonut Blondies. The ingredient list is hers. The directions are mine, since all I wrote was 350F, 9X13", 20 min. (I tend to wing it.)
1 3/4 c. flour
1 t. baking powder
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. chocolate chips
1 c. coconut

Preheat the oven to 350F, grease a 9X13” pan. Combine flour and baking powder in small bowl. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time until fluffy. Stir in vanilla and water. Add dry ingredients until mixed well. Add chocolate chips and coconut. Spread in pan and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
