What to Eat When You Need to Feed Huns

For one week a month, the Huns invade our house. They've been doing it for years. And, since the girls have no brothers, they provide needed experience and insight into the world of all things boy. When they play trains, the trains don't have tea parties: they crash off the tracks and go haring around the rug.

When they talk, it sometimes involves grunting and other expressive noises. They would rather paint with mud, use the sticks as javelins instead of magic wands, and smash things. Boys are great. It took me a while to figure out that they don't cry unless it really, really hurts. And they also have ravenous appetites. This week, I'm doubling all the recipes.
